Jun 17, 2017 — Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park is a great place to visit some old growth redwood trees. The Ten Taypoo and Hope Creek Loop is a short hike through some of these very pretty redwoods. The terrain in this area is incredibly lush and green and the moss-covered trees make it a cozy and enjoyable hike. You can see a wide variety because the trail ascends from a gully to a higher-elevation ridge. The trail is easy to follow and well-maintained, complete with a built-in wooden boardwalk. Just across the street is the lovely Ossagon Trail.

If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
