Nov 19, 2018 — And that's a wrap! 2018 was pretty awesome, and I ended my trip with a visit to Turkey Run State Park in Indiana, which was surprisingly beautiful. Starting from the Nature Center, a trail leads across a suspension bridge where the trail system begins. There are a series of gorgeous water-eroded Hollows, including the featured Rocky Hollow, with a well-marked and good trail system. The trails get right into the creeks, so expect to get your feet wet. I planned to check out all the destinations on the northwest side of the park, dubbed "Rocky Hollow Falls Canyon Nature Preserve". I started out by heading up Rocky Hollow, which leads to the Punch Bowl (a gorgeous little grotto with a waterfall). I took a detour to check out an overlooked called Camel's Back, which was adorably underwhelming. From here, I continued to Boulder Canyon and Falls Canyon, both gorgeous grottos, and then made a short detour up Bear Hollow on my way along Sugar Creek. It's kind of a choose your own adventure using the trails, but I recommend seeing all the Hollows on the map attached. It's a really nice park.
