Mar 03, 2017 — The road leading out to White Pocket is extremely sandy and Shawn's Jeep almost got stuck, so be warned. White Pocket isn't a large area, but there's definitely a ton of incredible rock formations to see, especially at sunset. We explored the typical crazy colors and textures typical for White Pocket, which were all sorts of amazing. In addition, we noted a large butte in the distance and headed through the desert in an attempt to gain the summit. With some fun route-finding, we made it up to some nice views and more interesting rock formations. I later found this little peak had been dubbed simply "White Pocket Peak".

If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
