Nov 29, 2017 — This easy hike leads up the East Fork of the San Gabriel River to an abandoned bridge known as the Bridge to Nowhere. Oiriginally intended to be a roadway through the mountains, floods washed out the construction project in the 1930s and all that remains is an old roadbed and this very cool bridge nestled within the narrows of the canyon. The hike is easy to follow for the most part due to its popularity, but also because the trail is very clear. Along the way there are a few easy river crossings and gorgeous canyon narrows. There iwas one section where the trail was washed out on the easy bank where keeping to the trail was slightly difficult, but you can't get lost since you're just going up a canyon. Eventually we made it to Bridge to Nowhere and the narrows surrounding it.
