Jul 15, 2019 — Champlin Peak was a surprisingly pretty little excursion to a remote, grassy peak on the edge of Utah's West Desert. The dirt roads to the trailhead were easy for any car (except the last quarter mile). From the trailhead, a deteriorating double-track took me steeply south up a ridge. The road disappeared and there wasn't a trail, but it's obvious where to go since the ridge just continues steeply to the summit. The views were great and the hike felt it was over too quickly.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
