Nov 04, 2018 — Crach Canyon is a somewhat popular nontechnical canyon in the San Rafael Swell. Located along the behind-the-reef road, Crack Canyon has some really pretty narrows and interesting textures, and aside from some light scrambling to overcome some obstacles it's just a pleasant hike in a gorgeous landscape. There were a couple of short Class 3 moves through the canyon, and only one of them had webbing to assist in climbing back up when I visited. I'd like to think I saw the entirety of Crack Canyon since I followed it until the canyon started opening up into a wash on the south side of the Swell.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
