Apr 08, 2014 — While not technically a trail, nor can I even track my route, this little adventure is definitely worth a mention. The muddy section has enough solid ground to explore the beauty of the Everglades away from the roar of airboats. Though my coordinates may be a bit off, look for a sign that reads "Dwarf Cypress Forest". There won't be a trail or turn off, so park on the side of the road and roam around with the gators in the mud. A bit terrifying at times, but definitely an experience that made me feel pretty alive.
Alligators everywhere. And snakes. Actually, in hindsight, this was pretty dangerous.

If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
