I highly recommend you purchase the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference map here. There are a lot of trails in Harriman State Park and not only will this map not get you lost, you can also change my route and add/remove trails.
Jun 20, 2016 — My family and I decided to go for a hike in Harriman State Park. This is a shorter hike in Harriman, but it's in a very pretty area with great views and a fun little destination called the Lemon Squeezer. We parked at a trailhead along the Appalachian Trail just off the NY Thruway and hiked up the somewhat steep trail leading to Island Pond, and then continued along the Appalachian Trail to the Lemon Squeezer, two locations I've seen in other, longer hikes. The Harriman State Park trail system is well-marked and offers lots of options for adding on trails, so pick a fun series of trails to make this a longer hike.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
