I provide a free route map, but you can also download a hike/drive GPX to assist you and to help support my site. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is a free resource and I'm charging nominal fees to offset my substantial costs.

Oct 05, 2017 — After doing South Guardian Angel a few weeks ago and seeing North Guardian Angel looming to the west, my excitement was so high that I don't know how I procrastinated this long. Follow the Easy Wildcat Canyon trail to the Northgate Peaks Trail to the end. Note the low saddle on the northeast side of North Guardian Angel, the only reasonable-looking ascent, which is where you'll scramble up. Head down on black volcanic rock on a fairly obvious trail that leads into a sandy wash. This wash spits you out pretty much at the base of the northeast saddle. Take Class 2 slabs to the saddle and then continue up Class 3 slabs and ledges until you reach the short, easy Class 4 section before the summit ridge. In general, if the highest point of the ridge feels too tough, keep west. The east side felt too exposed and there was always an easie way. Enjoy great views of the Kolob Terrace area of Zion National Park from the summit.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
If using PayPal, please select their option for "Sending to a friend" so they don't take out fees, thank you.
My site is free to use, but consider sending me a few bucks to help keep it running. Thanks in advance!
