May 21, 2016 — Turk Mountain is a short hike at the southern end of Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. It starts along the Appalachian Trail for a short time before heading west along the peak's east ridge along the blue-blazed Turk Mountain Trail. A bunch of nice forest walking continues to the south side of Turk Mountain and a bit of light boulder-hopping leads to the summit. We didn't have great views due to fog on our trip, but it's a nice hike and it seems the overlook to the west from the summit is nice.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
