Sep 14, 2019 — Boulder Top (aka Bluebell Knoll) is a county high point in Utah that requires such a short hike that I almost didn't add it to my site, but it visits an area of Utah I've never been and it took a lot of work to drive here. I was also happy to meet with some new friends, otherwise this would have felt like a waste of time. The road is rough and I only recommend it if you've got high clearance and very good tires. Expect a munch longer hike if you attempt with any less than that. Head south from Loa, UT on this road (38.39602, -111.64291) and follow it down to here (38.17297, -111.58157) where you take a left. Stay along FR-178 until the trailhead.
We parked at a shoddy sign and frolicked up to this basically drive-up peak.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
If using PayPal, please select their option for "Sending to a friend" so they don't take out fees, thank you.
My site is free to use, but consider sending me a few bucks to help keep it running. Thanks in advance!
