Jul 19, 2019 — Aftering doing Ben Lomond and Willard Peak yesterday, I was feeling inspired to do more of the northern Wasatch Mountains. Starting at the same trailhead, I took the Skyline Trail headed south, a well-maintained trail that took a bunch of switchbacks up to some really pretty grassy meadows, Eyrie Peak visible ahead. There are some amazing views of Ben Lomond Mountain to the north and Ogden Peak to the south. The trail slowly asccends up and over a few bumps (or around them), and then avoids Eyrie Peak, but a social trail leads to its summit and back down its south ridge to rejoin the trail. After a bit more nice trail walking and pretty views, I was on Lewis Peak to the west. It's lower than Eyrie Peak, but worth the hike.
