Aug 20, 2017 — This out-and-back hike takes the Hell Roaring Creek Trail, passing Hell Roaring Lake and ending at Imogene Lake, where a mini-loop on a social trail skirts the lake's edge. Overall it's a long walk on mostly unchanging scenery, but the lakes are really nice and the high peaks of the Sawtooths are gorgeous. The trail is well-maintained and surprisingly popular for how long of a hike it is. Imogene Lake is a really picturesque and relaxing spot. The relatively low vertical gain today was a nice change of pace.
