Aug 03, 2015 — Liberty Cap is a cool-looking dome feature that sits atop a mesa above Grand Junction within Colorado National Monument. I took the standard Libery Cap Trail on the way up, a well-maintained NPS trail that winds up a series of benches to the mesatop above. Some serious construction was required to make this trail. The summit can be accessed via a short scramble using old metal rungs and carved footholds. I took the Corkscrew Trail on my way back to make the hike into a nice little loop.
Please consider helping me out if you find my site useful. I'm not sponsored, so all site fees are out-of-pocket and my time preparing these trip reports is unpaid. You can also hire me as a web developer. I really appreciate it!
If you find my site helpful, please help me replace my many broken cameras, fund my website fees (hosting, APIs, security), or just support my countless hours of work. I pay for all expenses myself, and all trip reports I post are unpaid and unsponsored, so any support is really appreciated!
