I provide a free route map, but you can also download a hike/drive GPX to assist you and to help support my site. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is a free resource and I'm charging nominal fees to offset my substantial costs.

Feb 02, 2020 — A short drive from the Las Vegas suburban sprawl, this loop was surprisingly more intersting than I thought it would be. I started up a series of dirt roads to the base of The King, where a social trail materialized and led up and over The King, then over to The Queen (Class 2). There were some nice views of the ridge to The Jack farther to the south. On my way down from The Queen, I noted a short Class 2 excursion to White Gold #7 that was too tempting to pass by before I continued along the ridge to The Jack. The route to White Gold #7 was mostly uneventful, loose Class 2.
Back on the ridge on my way to The Jack, a rock outcropping along the way was avoidable by keeping left (east), and then some Class 2+ moves led to The Jack's summit. I didn't realize the route down off The Jack would be steep and loose, so I picked my way down on nonsense scree and dirt, needing to think a little bit to find an easy route. I encountered a Class 3 move to descend toward the bottom of the ridge, but this can be avoided by dropping left or right rather than staying on the ridge crest. I made it down off The Jack and located an ATV road which I followed back to my car.
